All drivers who compete in any IVRA event will receive a classification of either Amber (orange), Emerald (green), Sapphire (blue), Amethyst (purple), Onyx (black), or Pro (white) based on their iRating. This allows IVRA to apply different driver restrictions on car classes to create a more balanced and competitive playing field in all of our series. iRatings and classifications will be updated by IVRA every July 1 and January 1.
Please note, due to the adjustments to the iRating ranges after the 23/24 season, the next driver classification update is planned for 1 August instead.
As iRating is not a perfect reflection of a driver’s abilities, IVRA will adjust a driver’s classification if indeed their iRating is not representative of their performance in IVRA events. Below are the six driver classifications awarded by IVRA and their relative iRating ranges. Drivers and teams may request a review of a driver’s classification by sending IVRA an email to ivraleague@gmail.com, or by contacting IVRA on the official Discord server. Be sure to include any supporting documentation that will aid IVRA in making a decision regarding the reclassification request!
IVRA will also keep track of driver infractions, recorded with Penalty Points (P.P. below), in any IVRA-sanctioned race. This system will help IVRA maintain a consistent level of driving standards across all series. Every IVRA race that a driver participates without gaining any P.P. will result in 3 P.P. taken off of their total (drivers cannot go below 0 P.P.). After a driver exceeds 12 P.P. they will be required to sit out the next event which they were registered for prior to their suspension.
Below you can find all drivers who are currently registered for an IVRA series and all drivers who have participated in an IVRA event previously, their current classification, how many P.P. they have, and which if any series they are currently registered for.
Are you in the list but with an incorrect flag? Please let us know and we’ll update it for you!
