Two more races, and multiple championships with a chance of being decided this weekend in IVRA. The HyperX Clubsport Series, and IVRA GT Sprint Series powered by Heusinkveld will both be in action as we head towards the climax of a great season.

Most likely championship to be settled is in the IVRA GT Sprint Series powered by Heusinkveld, as Sean Campbell’s domination so far has given him a 149 point lead in Division 1. This round is at Monza, and despite the ambiguities of races around there, along with the fact this round is third from last, it could be Campbell’s championship-clinching moment.

Attempting to stop him will be a team who have taken this crown in the past, Team Heusinkveld. A Top 7 finish for them would keep it alive no matter what happens to Campbell, and they are 50 points ahead of their nearest rivals for 2nd in the standings.

No other titles in the IVRA GT Sprint Series powered by Heusinkveld can be confirmed on Sunday. Division 2 sees GermanSimRacing hold 77 points of an advantage after Prestanda NOMAD’s diasterass Suzuka round, while Division 3 has four teams separated by just 17 points.

None of the title races are as close as that in the HyperX Clubsport Series, but it’ll be interesting nevertheless. Barber Motorsports Park is the venue, a tight and twisty circuit that will suit the style of racing that this series has.

It could also lead to multiple Safety Cars and all of the pitfalls that come with them. One of the teams that have played their cards best through these periods so far has been Team Heusinkveld, leaders of the TCR category.

They have the biggest championship lead in the series, with 93 points over 2nd placed Impulse Racing. 9 teams can still mathematically win the title, but many of those behind will need a big performance at Barber to remain in contention.

It’s a similar story in the Sport category, as a two horse race is developing. HydroRace Geodesic Racing and Hugh Jass are separated by 59 points, and have more than 100 back to the rest, so all eyes will be on them during the 700 kilometres.

Finally, the Cup category is the closest with 14 teams still mathematically in contention, and unless there’s a miracle, there will be plenty still gunning for overall victory at Suzuka as well. Asetek Simsports Visceral currently lead, but with Mid-Ohio race winners ATRS eSports still only down in 6th after that win, it shows that the Cup category is arguably the most open of any in IVRA this season.

It will all be happening on this double-header weekend, starting with the HyperX Clubsport Series on Saturday, followed by the IVRA GT Sprint Series powered by Heusinkveld on Sunday.
