Essen, GER – April 1, 2021 – Following an exciting first season, IVRA Organizers will be hosting a free community series for league members to participate in during the off-season.
As the season finale of the Endurance Series approaches, teams, drivers, and organizers head into the offseason. The organizers and RC members are happy to announce a summer league that’s focused on community and racing, that will take place every other weekend. Drivers will have the opportunity to interact in a recreationally competitive setting using the delightfully difficult Street Stock. In this community series drivers will have the opportunity to interact with one another outside their normal competitive settings. IVRA will create a server channel specific for this, which can be found in the new IVRA server, where teams are invited to be in a public or team channel. . This truly is meant as a fun, hang-out-and-drive type of atmosphere and race day; a good way to “kick back” while we’re not in the heat of the regular season.
Beginning on April 17th, the IVRA Street Stock Series will start with heat racing at the Thompson Speedway oval. Grids will be set on a first-come-first-served basis and the races will all be in a heat format. Track will alternate between oval, road, and dirt oval, with six total dates for the first series. This will be a free series to participate in, and points will be tracked through the iRacing League system.
We will be using an attendance form in order to create the heat sizes, and drivers will need to submit their attendance response 24h prior to the session launch; the attendance response form will be available at 12GMT one week prior to race day. All sessions will begin with a 30-minute practice session at 1400GMT. There will be four 10-driver heats (maximum grid size will be 40), one consolation race and one final race. We will post a link to the league in the new server under the Street Stock Series in the coming days. The dates and tracks are listed below – we hope to see you out!
